Impact Indiana.org is a community-rooted nonprofit founded by Dr. Jamie Sue Greer, a devoted teacher, author, mother, and follower of Christ. With over 20 years of experience teaching at the high school and university level in the United States, Spain, and Costa Rica, leading study abroad programs for over a decade, and conducting research on motivating factors related to student participation in high-impact practices, Dr. Greer brings a deep love for learning, cultural understanding, and a heart for service to every lesson.
Grounded in Christian principles of compassion, humility, and service, Dr. Greer founded ImpactIndiana.org to meet a growing need in Indiana communities: accessible, high-quality support for learning, career readiness, and personal development. We provide affordable online tutoring for K-12 students, college learners, and adults; workforce preparation that continues even after hiring; and connections to local resources for individuals who don’t know where to turn. Whether helping a struggling student, partnering with homeschooling families, or supporting adults returning to education, our mission is to serve others with excellence, dignity, and grace. ImpactIndiana.org exists to remove barriers to educational resources, build confidence in learners, and nurture community support through one-on-one tutoring and structured mentoring that uplifts both skill and spirit. The Christian principles of love, compassion, and patience guide our tutors and mentors in their service to our community. Dr. Greer gives thanks to every student, family, and supporter who has helped this mission flourish. May God bless you all. |

¡Hola! Soy Profesora Greer, you can call me "Profe".
I am excited to be working with you on your academic and career goals! I am a dedicated scholar-practitioner, constantly updating my teacher toolbox with ways to improve my outreach and impact on students. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the theories of experiential learning, transformative learning, personal investment, and the tenets of pedagogy and andragogy. Research by such masterminds as John Dewey, Abraham Maslow, Jack Mezirow, Jean Piaget, and Lev Vygotsky guides my studies and serves as foundational literature to support the science of service learning. I have taught Spanish as a foreign language for over two decades. I have a Bachelor's degree in Spanish, a Master's degree in Teaching with a focus on Second Language Acquisition, and a Doctorate in Education. I have led study abroad programs for over 10 years. My favorite part of studying a foreign language is actually using it to communicate with people around the world, making new friends along the way. My lessons are centered around holistic learning methodologies, integrating a person's physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual needs into learning activities. Critical thinking skills are emphasized, and perspective transformation is essential in studying a new culture. My lessons begin with any necessary review, an overview of new content, a presentation with explanation, practice time, and additional practice or re-teaching as necessary. Online tools such as Quizlet, Wordwall, Conjuguemos, Quizizz, and others offer variety as we learn new skills. We will create visuals during our lessons, use repetition and auditory practice, and utilize the material in hands-on approaches to satisfy all types of learners, aid comprehension, and assist in recall. As my student, you and I are a team, and we will collaborate on activities. I will listen to your needs and concerns and personally create lessons to best suit you. I always welcome your questions throughout the lesson and beyond our sessions as you work on homework and projects. I look forward to working with you on your learning journey! Class of 2025

I have a passion for culture. I love the thrill of traveling to new destinations
and living like a local. This includes understanding history as well as current events, being fearless with trying new things, and the best part, meeting new lifelong friends along the journey. |
