A community-rooted nonprofit founded by Dr. Jamie Sue Greer, a devoted teacher, author, mother, and follower of Christ, ImpactIndiana.org exists to support and empower Hoosiers who have survived traumatic life experiences, have learning differences, or executive function challenges.
Grounded in Christian principles of compassion, humility, and service, Dr. Greer founded ImpactIndiana.org to meet a growing need in Indiana communities: accessible, high-quality support for learning, career readiness, and personal development. We provide affordable tutoring for K-12 students, college learners, and adults; workforce readiness support that extends beyond initial hiring to promote long-term success; compassionate companionship for residents in nursing homes and care facilities; and connections to local resources for individuals and families who don’t know where to turn for guidance and support. With 25 years of experience teaching at the high school and university level in the United States, Spain, and Costa Rica, leading study abroad programs for over a decade, and conducting research on motivating factors related to participation in high-impact practices, Dr. Greer brings a deep love for learning, cultural understanding, and a heart for service to ImpactIndiana.org. Our mission is simple: to serve others with excellence, dignity, and grace. What the Arrow Represents
The right-pointing arrow in the ImpactIndiana.org brand symbolizes forward movement, progress, and hope. It reflects our belief that education, awareness, and support are not static but rather move people forward.
For those we serve, the arrow represents: ---> Moving forward after trauma ---> Taking the next step from awareness to action ---> Growing from information to empowerment ---> Progress toward healing, stability, and systemic change ---> A future guided by knowledge and advocacy At ImpactIndiana.org, the arrow reminds us that understanding leads somewhere. When individuals are informed and supported, they are empowered to move forward toward safety, resilience, and lasting change. ImpactIndiana.org works to remove barriers to educational resources, build confidence in learners, and nurture community support through one-on-one tutoring and structured mentoring that uplifts both skill and spirit. The Christian principles of love, compassion, and patience guide our tutors and mentors in their service to our community. Dr. Greer gives thanks to every student, family, and supporter who has helped this mission flourish. May God bless you all. |

¡Hola! Soy Profesora Greer, you can call me "doc"!
My philosophy is simple: Information → Impact → Transformation I am a dedicated scholar-practitioner, constantly updating my teacher toolbox with ways to improve my outreach and impact on students. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the theories of experiential learning, transformative learning, personal investment, and the tenets of pedagogy and andragogy. Research by such masterminds as John Dewey, Abraham Maslow, Jack Mezirow, Jean Piaget, and Lev Vygotsky guides my studies and serves as foundational literature to support the science of service learning.

I have a passion for culture. I love the thrill of traveling to new destinations and living like a local. This includes understanding history as well as current events, being fearless with trying new things, and the best part, meeting new lifelong friends along the journey.
